Robert Lee Hawks, Jr

Mr. Robert "Robby" Lee Hawks, Jr., 53, of Waxhaw, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, at his home. He was born July 31, 1959, in Surry County, to the late Robert "Bobby" Lee Hawks, Sr. and Juanita Lucas Hawks. He was employed at Boatright as a construction-installation manager. He loved riding his Harley Davidson with his friends. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and James King of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Melessa Hawks of Dobson; special aunts and uncle, Jerry and Bonnie Lucas Blacksburg, VA, and Armenta Hedgecock of Randleman; nieces and nephews, Tabitha King and Justin Barnard, Christopher and Jessica King, Travis King, Logan Hawks, and Lucas Hawks; great nieces, Ainsley Jade Barnard and Ellie Grace King; and special friends, Eddie, Regina, and Austin Mundy. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 21, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Pastor Terry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Tim and Melessa Hawks, 109 Forest Oaks Drive, Dobson.
