Robert Webb Holder

Mr. Robert Webb Holder, age 61 of Dobson passed away on Saturday evening January 24, 2009 at the Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Holder was born in Surry County on September 11, 1947 to the late Roy and Elizabeth Mayes Holder. He was a member of North Side Baptist Church and was the Owner of Friendly Car Company. Surviving is his loving Wife Catherine S. Holder of the home; a daughter and son-in-law Roberta and Michael Stanley of Elkin; three sons and daughters-in-law Allen and Sandy Holder, Rodney and Shera Holder, and Lee and Jessica Holder all of Dobson; eleven grandchildren Joshua Potts, Blake Holder, Jonathan Cook, Samantha Ring, Erica Ring, Robbie Cook, Kayla Holder, Cassie Holder, Ella Holder, Chris Stanley, and Sharon Stanley; by two sisters and brother-in-law Betty Lou McCann of Lexington, Mary Lou and Reggie Llewellyn of Mt. Airy; by three brothers and sisters-in-law Edward and Donna Holder of Dobson, Billy Jack and Annie Mae Holder of Mt. Airy, and Jesse and Helen Holder of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday January 27, 2009, in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson with burial to follow in the Maple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The services will be conducted by Rev. Joe Atkins. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6 until 8 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Mitchell River Primitive Baptist Church Building Fund C/O of Elizabeth Southard 191 Corbett Cockerham Rd. Dobson, NC 27017.
