Robert Ray Isaacs, Jr

Mr. Robert Ray Isaacs, Jr., age 71, of Lowgap, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Randolph County, WV on September 18, 1945 to the late Robert Ray Isaacs, Sr. and Vivian Demarest Isaacs. Mr. Isaacs was retired from Insteel Wire Products as a Network Administrator. He was a former commissioner of the Surry County Little League Football, and was active in coaching little league with his son Jason. Robert was involved with the Mt. Airy Youth Foundation for many years. Robert was an avid Carolina Tar Heels fan, and the Mt. Airy Granite Bears. He will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Gail Hicks Isaacs of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason Isaacs and Crystal of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Madison Truell of Mt. Airy, Levi Poindexter and friend Dorothy Burke of Pilot Mountain; great grandchildren, Avah Burke, and Evan Poindexter both of Pilot Mountain; a sister and brothers-in-law, Adelaide Isaacs - Smith and Lyle of Winston Salem , Kearney Andrews of Chapel Hill; a niece, Clara Perry and David of Chapel Hill; great niece, Emma Perry of Chapel Hill; a special brother and sister-in-law Ted Hicks and Cathy . In addition to his parents, Mr. Isaacs was preceded in death by a sister, Dr. Rosalyn “Lynn” Andrews. receive friends Tuesday from 9:30 until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. The family would like to give a special ”thanks” to Dr. Kinsley, and to the staff of Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home for the special care given to Robert during his illness. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
