Robert Ernest Johnson

Mr. Robert Ernest Johnson, 81, of White Plains, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at his home. Mr. Johnson was born April 29, 1926, in Virginia, to the late Robert "Bob" and Margie Sumner Johnson. He was retired from Pike Electric and was a member of White Plains Friends Meeting. He is survived by his wife, Pauline "Polly" Bruner Johnson of the home; two grandchildren and spouses, Karen and David Holland of Walnut Cove and Randall and Angie Faw of Mount Airy; four great-grandchildren, Allysia Trindade, Jacob Trindade, and Jared Trindade, all of Walnut Cove, and Cody Faw of Mount Airy; and a son-in-law, Arnold Faw of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Draughn Faw; and a son, Edwin Lionel Johnson. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 31, 2007, at 11:00 AM at White Plains Friends Meeting. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Wayne Johnson, the Rev. Loyd Pugh, and the Rev. Winfred Crouse, and burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. No formal visitation will be held. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
