Robert Koehl

Robert (Robbie) William Draughn Koehl, age 37, of Advance, NC passed away at his home on Sunday June 6, 2021.  He was born in Burleigh County, North Dakota, on November 6, 1983, to Patty Maxcine Draughn and the late Rickey Eugene Koehl.  He was a musician, loving son, an amazing friend to all, and a member of Dobson United Methodist Church.  Surviving is his mother and stepfather, Patty Draughn and Genaro Gonzalez; fiancée Jessica Carter; Godfather, Lonnie Kendall; aunts and uncles, Janet Lancaster, Cheryl Saucedo, Kathy L. Smith, Tim Draughn, Michael and Sheila Draughn, Terry Koehl, Shelia Castillo, Billy Koehl, and Shawn Koehl; cousins, Wesley Schiermeister, Jared Schiermeister, Timothy Draughn, Audrey Draughn, Jessica Herbel, Madeline Draughn, Landon Draughn, Sofia Vazquez, Harvey Schiermeister, Aubree Schiermeister and life-long friends, Tiffany Johnson-Reeves and husband Justin Reeves. He was known and loved by so many, it is impossible to name you all. Robbie loved everyone he met, and the impact he had on all of us will live on forever.  The light that he shared will never go out, and the world will never cease to be just as loud, because even though he may be gone, the music he shared will forever be in our hearts, and on our stereos.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 12, 2021, in the chapel of Dobson United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Koehl family.
