Robert "Bob" Leonard

Mr. Robert “Bob” Leonard, 66, of Virginia, passed into his heavenly home on Monday, September 16, 2024.  He was born to the late Joe and Foy Lee Leonard.  Bob was a respected and well-known orchardist and farmer.  His legacy of Leonard Orchard will be continued through his children and grandchildren.  He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.  Bob, along with Tom and Joy Slusher, were instrumental in establishing the Carroll County Victim Witness Program.  He was a member of the Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616 AF & AM.  Bob was a beloved husband, daddy, and papa.  He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jeanette Leonard; a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Jackie Leonard; a daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Jason Jordan; his grandchildren, Dakota, Dalton, and Dane Leonard and Brea and Laci Jordan; his mother-in-law, Christine Easter; several cousins; and many friends.  In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Archie Easter.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Pastor Jacob Flippen, the Rev. Roland McCraw, and Kody Easter officiating.  Burial will follow at Flower Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5445 77 Center Drive, Suite 60, Charlotte, NC  28217; or The Gideons International, Memorial Bible Program, P.O.
