Robert Lynn "Bobby" Payne

Mr. Robert Lynn “Bobby” Payne, 61, of Westfield passed away peacefully Friday, February 21, 2020, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born in Surry County on April 12, 1958, to the late Robert Glenn Payne, Jr. and Mary “Vernell” Palmer Payne.  Mr. Payne retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company.  He is survived by his wife, Karen Tickle Payne; a daughter, Jessica Payne; a son, Joseph Payne and fiancée Liz Dougan; grandchildren, EJ Bowman, Zane Tolbert, and Declan Payne; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Kenneth Jessup; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Susan Payne; a brother-in-law, Ted Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Payne was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Jackson.  A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 23, 2020, at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rickey Rodgers and Pastor Greg Boyd officiating.  The family will receive friends Sunday, from 1:30 until 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
