Mr. Robert Morris Raith, 91, of 2077 Reeves Mill Road, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday morning, May 10, 2014, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Raith was born February 4, 1923, in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Fear Raith. Robert served our country in the United States Army during World War II. Following the war, he worked for his father, who was a real estate investor, for many years in Baltimore. He is survived by three daughters, Roberta Kapruan, Linda Miller, and Barbara Youngblood, all of Maryland; a stepdaughter, Jeannie Dorsette of Mount Airy; two stepgrandchildren, Lisa (Wayne) Lowe of Mount Airy and James Dorsette; four stepgreat-grandchildren, Justin Dorsette, Kaley Dorsette, Tyler Lowe, and Michael Dorsette, all of Mount Airy; a stepgreat-great-grandchild, Michael Thomas Dorsette of Mount Airy; a brother, Roy Raith of Candler; and several nieces and nephews The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Pastor Stanley Knight officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
