Robert Lee Royall Sr

Mr. Robert Lee Royall Sr. age 62 of Thurmond, NC passed away on Friday morning November 17, 2006 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. He was born in Alleghany Co. on August 31, 1944 to the late Thomas Levi Royall and the late Vera Hatcher Royall. He had worked at Chatham Manufacture in Elkin, and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Ronda Dodson Royall of the home; a son and daughter-in-law Robert Lee Royall Jr. and Jasmine Royall of Elkin; a daughter and son-in-law Vickie and James Caudill of Elkin; grandchildren Carter Hanson, Russ Royall, Riley Royall, Ricky and Ashley Holsclaw, Carol and Craig Carter, and Jason Caudill; great grandchildren Devin Holsclaw and Lanie Carter; sisters and brother-in-law Barbara and Marvin Gynn of Alto, Ga, Myrtle Mae and Ted Gilley of Lansing, NC, Mary Jane Lyles of Dobson, Ennice Crouse of Sparta, Marie Robinette of Keyesville, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law Russell and Linda Royall of Joppatown, Md. Curtis and Audine Royall of Dobson, Paul and Lil Royall of Baltimore, Md. Cebert and Ruby Royall of Belair, Md.; a special nephew Thomas Royall, and several nieces and nephews; special friends Wayne Ellis of Pilot Mtn., Bob Randloph of Dobson,.
A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Monday November 20 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson. Rev. Windell White and Pastor Jeff Reeves will officiate the service. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home and the family will receive friends after the memorial service.
