Robert Lee Woods

Mr. Robert Lee Woods, 86, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Pruitt Health in Elkin.  He was born in Surry County on September 10, 1936, to the late William Riley Woods and Elsie May Chandler Woods Flinchum.  Mr. Woods retired from Proctor Silex after 38 years of employment.  He enjoyed driving his 1970 blue Chevy truck, visiting friends and family, and baking homemade meals and desserts.  He will be dearly  missed by all who knew him.  Mr. Woods is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela Kay and Wayne Jefferson, Donna Bedsaul and France-Carl Yates; the mother of his children, Ruth Woods; grandsons, Shawn Woods and Sarah, Levi Bedsaul and his fiancé Taylor Kiser; four great-grandchildren, Eve Woods, Emmalena Woods, Elijah Woods, Ellorie Woods; sisters, Willie Mae Hutchens, Mary Lou Beasley, and Betty Jane Ward; brothers and sisters-in-law, Freddy “Pete” and Judy Woods, Billy Gray and Peggy Pack; sisters-in-law, Diane Woods and Debbie Woods; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Woods was preceded in death by; brothers Donald Woods and Charles “Goose” Woods; and a sister Ann Bullin.  A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 11:00AM at Skyline Memory Gardens with Rev.
