Robert "Bob" Ring

Mr. Robert “Bob” Coleman Ring, 75 of Siloam passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at his home.  Mr. Ring was born on July 12, 1945 to the late William and Emma Shinault Ring.  Mr. Ring was a devout Christian, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.  Left to cherish his memories are his daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie Ring Whitaker and husband, Travis; Emily Ring Butcher and husband, Adam; one son and daughter-in-law, Matthew Ring and wife Michelle; six grandchildren, Jake Whitaker, Sam Whitaker, Cole Butcher, Chase Butcher, Meredith Ring and Emma Ring; one sister-in-law, Gaynell Ring; his fiancé Patty Edmonds; along with his extended family and friends.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Ring was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Jo Beasley Ring; and a brother, Billy Ring.  A funeral service will be on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Pine Hill Church with Rev. Michael Thames and Rev. Scott Coleson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 PM at Pine Hill Church.  Moody Funeral Services of Mount Airy is serving the family.  The family would like to express their gratitude to all of Mr. Ring’s caregivers throughout his illness.  Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Gideons, P.O.
