Robin Dale Atkins

Mr. Robin Dale Atkins, 66, of Pilot Mountain, passed away at his home on Saturday afternoon, October 30, 2021, with his family by his side. He was born on April 1, 1955, to the late Moir Elzevan Atkins and Ella Pauline Needham Atkins. Robin loved his family and loved being outside doing his favorite things, mowing and hunting. He loved his round table buddies. He was retired from the City of Mount Airy Wastewater Treatment Plant and had previously work for Patterson Toyota as a mechanic. Robin was also a Mason in the Ararat Masonic Lodge #558 A.F. & A. M. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 47 years, Nanette “Nan” Cox Atkins; his wonderful daughter who was his pride and joy and her husband, Tiffany and EJ Poore; his precious grandchildren whom he loved more than the world, Addison Poore, Aiden Poore, and Tegan Poore; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry Atkins, Dwight and Brenda Atkins, and Gary and Joan Atkins; several nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Johnny and Frankie Cox. In addition to his parents, Robin was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Gina Cox. A service of worship and celebration of Robin’s life will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Moody Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rusty Reed officiating. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Atkins family.
