Robin Leona Calhoun Moore

Mrs. Robin Leona Calhoun Moore, 56, of Dobson, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Moore was born March 23, 1960, in Surry County, to Clarine Fowler Calhoun and the late Jack Aaron Calhoun. Robin was a medical technologist at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and a member of Salem Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband, Garry Dean Moore of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Chad and LaSha Moore of Dobson; a grandson, who was her pride and joy, Colton Jennings Moore; special friends, Hal Hodges, David Riggans, Lynn Jones, and Sharon Fowler; many special friends and family members; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Lonette Atkins; and her nephews, Ryan Atkins and Jason Atkins. In addition to her father, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ernest Lee and Lula Cave Fowler; paternal grandmother, Mazie Calhoun Doss; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lonnie and Nellie Moore. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 10, 2017, from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend David Powell, the Reverend Joe Atkins, and the Reverend Jay Worsley officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 430 Rockford Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
