Rocky Jay Atkins

Mr. Rocky Jay Atkins age 47 of 2100 Westfield Road, Mount Airy, husband of Emma Jeanette Armfield Atkins passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Atkins was born in Surry County on December 31, 1959 son of Eleanor Thomas Atkins and the late William Roy Atkins. Surviving are his wife, Emma Armfield Atkins of the home; one daughter, Megan Atkins of the home; one son, Isaac Atkins of the home; his mother, Eleanor Thomas Atkins of Mount Airy; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Alan Hiatt of Mount Airy and Mary and Jason Vindich of Mount Airy and three brothers, Keith Atkins, Craig Atkins and Jeffery Atkins all of Mount Airy. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Bishop Charlie Brown with burial to follow in the Indian Grove Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Saturday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
