Rodney Watson

Mr. Rodney Grey Watson, age 64 of Greensboro, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022, in Carolina Beach, North Carolina.  Mr. Watson was born on April 29, 1957, in Surry County to the late Adolphus and Virginia Earlene Hooker Watson.  Rodney was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.  Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 42 years, Sandra McNeal Watson, two sons, Matthew Grey Watson, Marc Allen Watson; one grandchild, Kayden Watson, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ronda Watson Lewis and Robert, Carol Watson Coudon and Joseph, a niece Renee Sineath and David Rominger; nephew Daniel Sineath; along with several other nieces and nephews.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Little Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Reed and Rev. Bill Watson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Watson Family Cemetery.  Mr. Watson’s body will lie-in-state on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Little Mountain Baptist Church.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family .
