Roe Click Dixon

Mr. Roe “Click” Dixon, age 78 of Mount Airy, passed away on Friday night, February 14, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Dixon was born on February 17, 1946, in Surry County to the late Garvie Roe Dixon, Sr. and Nellie Jane Lowe Dixon. Click was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving is his wife, Helen Hawks Dixon; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Dixon King and Terry; two grandchildren, Meagen King Harrison, Logan King and Katlin Martin, four great grandchildren, Maverick Harrison, Millie Harrison, Mayson Harrison, Maggie Harrison; two sisters, Faye Dixon Southern, Lelia Mae Dixon Hinshaw; brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith Dixon and Jackie, Garvie Roe Dixon, Jr. and Jane Dixon, a sister-in-law, Yvonne Dixon; brother-in-law, Reverend Tommy Slate; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Dixon Slate; and a brother, Kenneth Carroll Dixon. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Genesis Full Gospel Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy Slate, Reverend Bill Spurlin, and Reverend T.J. Spurlin officiating. Interment will follow in the Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery in Lowgap with full military rites conducted by VFW Honor Guard Post 2019 Mount Airy and Post 9436 Pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 22 , 2025 at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
