Roger Sylvester Boyles

Mr. Roger Sylvester Boyles, age 78, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  He was born in Surry County on August 15, 1941 to Annie Ruth Roberts Boyles Allred the late Julius Carlyle Boyles.  Mr. Boyles retired from N.C Granite Company; he was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him.  Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 56 years, Mary Faye Money Boyles of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, René Bowman and husband Danny, Kathy Hicks and husband Lloyd; grandchildren, Emily Corbett and husband Lee, Dustin Bowman and wife Josie, Brandon Hicks, Brent Hicks, Bryson Hicks, Brooke Hicks, Braden Hicks; great-grandchildren, twins, Eli and Alylia Corbett, Levi and Olivia Corbett; sisters , Mary Owens, Connie Slate and Ann Powers; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jewel Boyles; special niece, Amy Carter as well as several other nieces and nephews and his beloved pet Chloe.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyles was preceded in death by a sister Betty Lou Brown.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 3:00PM at Pedigo Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. David Sechrist and Rev. Dwight Sechrist. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Saturday morning at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
