Roger Dale Burkhart

Mr. Roger Dale Burkhart, age 68, of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018.  Mr. Burkhart was born in Surry County on May 17, 1950, to Barry and Clarice Cole Burkhart.  Mr. Burkhart was a loving husband, father, brother and dear friend.  He will be sorely missed.  Surviving is his devoted wife, Gale Jessup Burkhart; a daughter, Amy Burkhart; a son, Joshua Burkhart; a brother and sister-in-law, Arlis and Lona Burkhart and a special uncle, Bobby Cole.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Burkhart was preceded in death by brothers, J. B. Burkhart and Alvis Burkhart.  The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00.
