Roger Loretta Ballard Elliott

Mrs. Roger Loretta Ballard Elliott, 71, wife of Ronald "Ron" Allen Elliott, of Dobson, passed away in the comfort of her home on Thursday, August 19, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Elliott was born October 8, 1938, in Forsyth County, to the late Roger Cardean and Lillian Smith Ballard. She was a retired cosmetologist and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 53 years, Ronald "Ron" Allen Elliott of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gina and Michael Futrell of Stella and Audra and William Burke III of Winston-Salem; three special grandchildren, Shannon Guy, Heather Futrell, and Allen Burke; an expectant great-grandchild; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Dean Reid of Winston-Salem and Patsy and Steve Pegram of Pfafftown; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jerry "Butch" Ballard of Winston Salem, Kenny and Wendy Ballard of King, and Ronnie and Tammy Ballard of Winston-Salem. The family will have a service to celebrate her life at her home on Saturday August 21, 2010. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
