NOTICE CHANGE OF SERVICE AND VISITATION TIME

Mr. Roger James Mosley, Sr., 84, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy. He was born in Surry County on October 31, 1937, to the late Edgar and Opal Devota Bange Mosley. Mr. Mosley proudly served our country and retired from the United States Navy. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Marie Cope and husband Darrell; sons and daughters-in-law, Roger James Mosley, Jr. and wife Patricia, Dennis Wade Mosley and wife Stephanie; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Sylvia Hemmings; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mosley was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Alice Samuel Mosley; a daughter, LaDonna Barthelemy; a sister, Leannah Wilhite. A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Richard Carter officiating. Military honors conducted by VFW Post 2019 of Mt. Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 until 11:30 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
