Roger Nelson Boyd

Mr. Roger Nelson Boyd, age 62, of Ararat, Virginia, passed away Thursday afternoon January 2, 2025, at his residence with his loving family by his side. Mr. Boyd was born November 29, 1962, in Surry County to the late Clark Gable Boyd and Shirley Gene Cain Boyd. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he’ll be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mr. Boyd was a long-time truck driver and loved farming. Surviving Mr. Boyd is his loving wife, Dena Kay Langley Boyd; sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph Ray Boyd and Mariah, Connor Lee Boyd; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Noel Jean Boyd, MacKenzie Rae Boyd; sister, Tammy Lynn Rocha and Jose; brother, Ronald Benard Boyd; niece, Brittany Inman; nephews, Benny Boyd, Jesse Boyd; special in-laws, Cliff “Hollywood” Langley and Lawhanna “Mother-in-Law” Langley. Per Mr. Boyd’s’ request, there will be no formal services held at this time. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Boyd family.
