Roger Lee Nunn

Mr. Roger Lee Nunn, age 76 of Stuart, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. Mr. Nunn was born on February 8, 1947, in Patrick County to the late Walter Lee and Elsie Pack Nunn.  Roger was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend.  He enjoyed farming tobacco and raising cattle and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.  Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Nunn Williams and Sammy; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger Allen Nunn and Denise; a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie Nunn Turner and James; along with several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Nunn was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Joan Fain Nunn; a sister, Betty Nunn East; and four brother, James Nunn, Robert Nunn, Floyd Nunn, and Calvin Nunn.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Rev. David “Buster” Sechrist officiating.  Interment will follow in the Nunn Family Cemetery on the Nunn Farm Road in Stuart, Virginia.  The family will receive friends on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
