Mr. Roger Lee Wilson, 53, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010, due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident. Mr. Wilson was born July 3, 1957, in Guilford County, to the late Robert Eugene and Mertice Irene Young Wilson. He is survived by a daughter, Becky Renee Wilson of Ararat, VA; two grandchildren, Jordan Quesinberry and Alexis Quesinberry; two sisters, Patsy Perritt of Mount Airy and Lorraine Ford of High Point; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Calvin and Shirley Wilson and Eddie and Tammy Wilson, all of Mount Airy; a half-sister, Connie Chandler; and half-brothers, Daniel Wilson of Mount Airy and Tony Ray Gwyn of Wilmington. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Wilson and Donald Wilson. The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 24, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Eugene Brinkley officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
