Ronald "Ronnie" Gray Carter

Mr. Ronald “Ronnie” Gray Carter, 74, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy.  Mr. Carter was born March 22, 1948, in Surry County to the late John “Tott” and Mary Sparks Carter.  He enjoyed listening to gospel music and reading his Bible nightly.  Mr. Carter’s hobbies were fishing in his early years and many years of woodworking.  He enjoyed going to auctions and helping his wife with antiques and collectibles.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 55 years, Linda Faye Quesinberry Carter; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Thomas Angel; a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Patsy McPeak Carter; grandchildren, Justin Angel, Megan Angel, and Emily Angel; his special dog, Molly; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Carter was preceded in death by sisters, Audene Bennett, Audrey Collins, Jo McCraw, and Becky Miller; a brother, Charlie Eugene Carter. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery with the Rev. Brad Quesinberry officiating.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 until 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
