Ronald Clay Shropshire

Mr. Ronald Clay Shropshire, age 76, of Siloam, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his home.  He was born on August 18, 1945 in Guilford County to the late Jack Shropshire and Juanita Cassell. Ron was a staple of the community, owning and operating Ron’s Used Cars since 1973, where he worked and enjoyed wheeling and dealing, and always helping others.  He was an active member and officer for many years of the CIADA.  He was also an elder of New Home Church of Christ. He was the best Daddy and Papa.  He loved God and his family so much.  His five grandsons were the joy of his life.  He had a three-year battle with cancer which he fought with amazing strength and God allowed him to share daily the story of Gods Grace, that is always sufficient.  Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 56 years, Glenda Stanley Shropshire; daughters and son-in-law, Kristi Leigh Shropshire, Kimberley S. Wright (Mitchell); grandchildren, Hayden Hall (Morgan), Griffin Hall, Toliver Wright (Whitney), Tullie Wright(Autumn), Gavin Wright (Hannah); two great-grandchildren to come, Grayson Hall and Baby Wright; sister and brother-in-law, Judy Smith (Ronnie); brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick Shropshire (Brenda), Jackie Shropshire (Sandy); special friend, and brother by choice, Donald Jennings.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Shropshire was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Shropshire.  A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 4:00 PM at New Home Church of Christ with services conducted by Pastor Tim Smith.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until time for the service at the church.
