Ronald Jaye Tilley

Mr. Ronald Jaye Tilley, 54, of 1111 Tom Jones Road, Ararat, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born September 5, 1956, in Surry County, to the late Jaye and Nellie Inman Tilley. Ronald was the co-owner and operator of Tilley's Photography Studio and a member of Level Cross United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband and father and a proud "Pa" to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Jane Bowman Tilley of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Anya Jane Tilley-Martin and Charles "Chuck" Martin of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Tyra Jack "Ty" and Lauren Tilley of Ararat; four grandchildren, Maddox Martin, Finn Martin, and Gib Martin, all of Mount Airy, and Emery Tilley of Ararat; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Ronnie Bledsoe of Ararat; and a brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Vickie Tilley of Ararat. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Level Cross United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rickey L. Spencer and the Rev. Ray Lambe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Level Cross United Methodist Church.
