Rosa Lee Elliott, 80, of Zephyrhills, Florida and formally of Mount Airy, North Carolina passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020, in Lakeland Florida. Rosa was born Rosa Lee Dean on May 4, 1940 in Cana, Virginia to John and Zula Dean. She was the youngest of seven children. She was a 1959 graduate of James Blair High School in Williamsburg, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Lee Elliott Sr. She spent her early years as a Navy wife, regularly moving from base to base. Her husband's duties took them to foreign countries and many interesting ports on both coasts of the U.S. With her husband of 59 years, she lived a full and rewarding life. Family was everything to Rosa as she always welcomed large family dinners. She was a "people" person who loved to socialize with her friends in Zephyrhills and Mount Airy. She enjoyed cooking and always had a sewing or knitting project going. She had a passion for shopping and loved finding shoes. She is survived by her children, Rick and Teresa Elliott, Chris and Kim Elliott and Tammy and Sam Jordan. She was the proud grandma to eight grandchildren and their spouces Zhade Jordan Metts and husband Jim-Ed, Christopher Elliott, Jr., Zach Jordan and wife Shelby, Ethan Hafey and wife Amanda, Randall Elliott and wife Grace, Austin Jordan and wife Savanna, Christina Elliott Lazenby and husband Brad, and Richard Lee Elliott, III. She is survived by ten great-grandchildren, who affectionately called her Gigi, Everleigh Olivia Metts, Magnolia Grace Metts, Sawyer Lee Jordan, Stella Marie Jordan, Elliott Mason Jordan, Bennett Tate Jordan, Juniper Wren Metts, Emma Saige Jordan, Hazel Lee Elliott and Willow Rose Elliott. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, greatr nieces and great nephews. A memorial service is tentatively planned for late July, 2021 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Mount Airy, North Carolina.
