Rosa Cole Mitchell

Mrs. Rosa Cole Mitchell, age 86 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Hillsboro, NC on February 6, 1936, to the late Norfleet Ray Cole and Rose Pearl Horne Cole.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Graham Mitchell, Sr.; a son-in-law, Carl Collie; one sister, Peggy Diane Lee; and one brother, Mack Cole.  Mrs. Mitchell had retired from J.P. Stevens.  She was an avid reader and really enjoyed books by Tom Clancy.  She loved doing crosswords, word searches, working in her flowers, and spending her time at home and with her family.

         Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Ellyson Frick of Bassett, Jackie and Ronnie Kendrick of Martinsville; one granddaughter, Ashley McAvoy; one brother, Hugh Cole of Lumberton, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
