Mrs. Rose Lee Stephenson Cooke, 78, of Dobson, a very special person who was loved by everyone who knew, her passed away Monday, August 31, 2010, at Heritage Care of Elkin. She was born May 17, 1932, in Johnston County, to the late Jimie and Carlie Bell Fish Stephenson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor Cooke. Mrs. Cooke was a homemaker, a member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church, and a member of the South Surry Fire Department Women's Auxiliary. Surviving are her special family, Allen and Kathy Jenkins of Dobson, Tammy Jenkins of Boonville, and Greg Jenkins of Mount Airy; special grandchildren, Gregory Jenkins and Allison Rodgers; special friends, Dorothy McCormick, JoAnna Bates, and Fayrene Doss, all of Dobson. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 3, 2010, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Jenkins, the Rev. Allen Jenkins, and the Rev. Terry Coe officiating. Burial will follow in the Copeland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.


Service Information

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday September 3, 2010 in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Copeland Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Bill Jenkins, Rev. Allen Jenkins and Rev. Terry Coe will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
