Rosemary Felker Weir

Ms. Rosemary Felker Weir, age 92 of Blacksburg, VA, passed away on Thursday evening September 21, 2023, at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, VA.  She was born on November 10, 1930, in Royal Centre, IN to the late Russell and Violet Ruth Siddall Felker.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed.  Rosemary was a child of God and loved to tell the world about him.  She also was a recreational pilot, a newspaper apprentice at one time, and a seamstress.  Left to cherish her memory are her children, Debra and John Flannelly, Robin and William Blain, Douglas and Kimberly Weir, Michael Weir, Donya and Randy McCollum, and Jennifer Weir; grandchildren, Melissa and Ethan Jones, Michael Flannelly, Chelsea Weir, Westly Weir, Miyoko “Mikki” and Robert Smallwood, Felisha and Tim Burchette, Charisse Weir, Jessica and Kenneth Mares, Rosemary Denise Weir, April and Kyle Richard, Ryan and Gabby McCollum, Logan McCollum, and Victoria Weir; several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and the father of her children, Donald Douglas Weir.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weir was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Houst.  Graveside services will be held on Monday September 25, 2023, at 3:00pm in the Wilkinson Cemetery in Hillsville, VA with our dear friends Rev. Stevie Richardson and the Richardson family officiating.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
