Mr. Rossie Ray Quesinberry, 68, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010, at his home. Mr. Quesinberry was born February 3, 1942, in Surry County, to the late Lawrence and Rosie Richardson Quesinberry. He retired as a small engine mechanic. Mr. Quesinberry served in the United States Army and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Sharlene Quesinberry; a special niece and caregiver, Karen Dollyhigh of Mount Airy; a niece and her spouse, Alicia and Stewart Hiatt; nephews and spouses, Vip and Cyndy Vipperman and the Rev. Jimmie Quesinberry, Jr. and Alisa Quesinberry, all of Mount Airy; great nieces and nephews, Hannah Dollyhigh, Logan Quesinberry, Allyson Quesinberry, Ryan Quesinberry, Eddie Quesinberry, Anna Li Quesinberry, and Jacob Hiatt; a great-great-nephew, Jullian Dollyhigh. In addition to his parents, Mr. Quesinberry was preceded in death by a sister, Flossie Quesinberry; and a brother, Jimmie Green Quesinberry. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday, July 30, 2010, at Skyline Memory Gardens, by the Rev. J. Cecil Hill. Full military honors will be conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
