Roxie Juanita Tharpe Inman

Mrs. Roxie Juanita Tharpe Inman, 83, of 121 Barrington Drive, Mount Airy, passed away Thursday morning, September 10, 2009, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Inman was born July 8, 1926, in Wilkes County, to the late Larkin Wakefield and Roxie Burcham Tharpe. Juanita retired as a registered nurse from Northern Hospital of Surry County after 48 years of service and was a member of Bannertown Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Beulah Midkiff Inman of Mount Airy, several nieces and nephews, Marsha and Ottis Lowe of Mount Airy, Fred and Beverly Cooke of Wilkesboro, and Martha and Don Austin of High Point; several great nieces and nephews; and several special neighbors and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Inman was preceded in death by her husband, William Elmer "Bill" Inman. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Milton Sewell officiating. Entombment will follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
