Roy L. Belcher

            Mr. Roy Linford Belcher, age 61 of Woolwine, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  He was born in Patrick County on January 27, 1957 to the late Vernon Eugene Belcher and Eulah Mae Conner Belcher.  Roy was a member of the Woolwine Volunteer Fire Department.

            Surviving are three uncles, Kenneth Belcher of Floyd, Odell Belcher of Meadows of Dan, Landis Conner and wife, Bertha of Woolwine; and several cousins.

            Funeral services will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Shaun Draughn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sycamore Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Smith River Rescue Squad, P.O.
