Roy David "R.D." Busick

Mr. Roy David “R.D.”Busick, Sr. 83, of Mt. Airy went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Northern Hospital of Surry County.  He was born in Carroll County, VA on March 2, 1935 to the late Monroe and Leadie Juanita Allen Busick.  Mr. Busick retired from Pike Electric and was a faithful member of Salem United Methodist Church, and a trustee of the church cemetery.  He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia “Pat” Shelton Busick of the home; a son, Roy David Busick, Jr. of Winston Salem; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Dorothy “Dot” Busick of Mt. Airy; nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Busick was preceded in death by sisters, Helen B. Willis, and Virginia B. Hall.  A funeral service will be held Monday, July 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Salem United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Nations, Rev. Tyler Hege, and Pastor Joe Kosan officiating.  Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at the church.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 2591 Wards Gap Rd., Mt.
