Roy June Hall

Mr. Roy June Hall, age 93, of Mt. Airy passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem.  He was born November 27, 1924 to the late William Archie and Sarah Barnes Hall.  Mr. Hall proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was also retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.  Mr. Hall lived a full life, enjoying the outdoors, gardening, fishing, hunting and observing wildlife.  Left to cherish his memories are a daughter, Robin Laughlin; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Hall, Rev. Ron and Brenda Hall, and Scott and Lisa Hall; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by sisters, Lucy Pruitt, Mamie Combs, and Lissie Simmons; and brothers, Luther and Robert Hall.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Ronnie Chamblin. Burial will follow in Indian Grove Family Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Army National Guard and by the VFW Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mt. Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.  Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy is serving the Hall family.
