Roy Lee Mayes
Mr. Roy Lee Mayes, 65, of Mount Airy, died Monday, September 22, 2008, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Mayes was born March 11, 1943, in Forsyth County, to Joseph and Bertha Hawks Mayes. Survivors include his wife, Virginia S. Mayes; a son, Marty Lee Mayes; two grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews. There will not be a formal service or visitation, but family and friends are welcome to visit at the Mayes home.
