Royce Anderson Bobbitt, Jr

Mr. Royce Anderson Bobbitt, Jr., 76, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Bobbitt was born March 4, 1933, in Surry County, to Royce Anderson Bobbitt, Sr. and Elizabeth Beck Bobbitt. He served our county in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict and was a member of Rockford Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are his loving wife, Patsy Cheek Bobbitt of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Rebecca Bobbitt of Clemmons; grandchildren, William Bobbitt and Caroline Bobbitt; and three sisters and a brother-in-law, Lola and Lacy Jones, Roxie Blizard, and Norene Collins, all of Mount Airy. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, by the Rev. Harry Sherrill. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
