Mrs. Ruby Arlene Johnson Dollyhigh, 68, of 920 Smith Road, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday evening, September 22, 2010, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Dollyhigh was born November 28, 1941, in Surry County, daughter of the late Joseph Webster and Opal Willey Johnson. Arlene was a homemaker and a member of Woodland Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tim and Dena Dollyhigh and James Mark Dollyhigh, all of Mount Airy; four grandchildren and their spouses, Travis Ray and Lisa Dollyhigh, Cody Dollyhigh, Amber Dollyhigh, and Brittany and Andrew Church, all of Mount Airy; three great-grandchildren, Brayden Ray Dollyhigh, Bryar Mason Dollyhigh, and Riley Lynn Church, all of Mount Airy; a sister, Sandra Kay Dollyhigh of Mount Airy; and a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Webster and Peanut Johnson of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dollyhigh was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Ray Dollyhigh. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 24, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Turkey Ford Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Ricky Atkins and the Rev. Nancy Warner officiating. There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Turkey Ford Baptist Church, c/o Lois Spicer, 1056 Turkey Ford Road, Dobson, NC 27017 or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
