Ruby Lorraine Edwards

Mrs. Ruby Lorraine Willis Edwards, 88, of Cana, VA, passed away at Twin County Regional Hospital, Saturday, November 12, 2022.  She was born in Patrick County, December 3, 1933, to the late Claude Willis and Ella Gwynn Willis Marshall.  Mrs. Edwards was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, and friend.  She was a dedicated member of Willow Hill Moravian Church, willing to assist with any activities in the church as long as her health permitted.  Mrs. Edwards enjoyed baking for family and friends and working in her roses.  Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jack Edwards; her daughter, Jeanne Edwards; sisters, Sadie Smith and Bessie Williams; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Joann Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Edwards will lie-in-state at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Willow Hill Moravian Church.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Willow Hill Graveyard Fund, c/o Debra Haynes, 442 Epworth Rd, Cana, VA 24317.  The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Latonna Bowman, Kathy Giambattista, Donna Ayers, and Janet McMillian for their support and care during Mrs. Edwards illness.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
