Ruby Elmo Wilson Gravely

Mrs. Ruby Elmo Wilson Gravely age 91 formally of Red Brush Rd., Mt. Airy, NC widow of Mr. James Cephus Gravely passed away Saturday night, October 13, 2007 at Twelve Oaks Rest Home and Alzheimer's Unit surrounded by her family and extended family, the Twelve Oaks Staff.. She was born July 15, 1916 in Stokes County the daughter of the late Harvey and Cora Annie Gwynn Wilson. She was retired from Spencer's Inc., a member of Temple Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Gladys Wilson, Franklin and Linda Gravely, Danny and Jeanette Gravely all of Mt. Airy, NC, five grandchildren and three spouses, Leon Wilson and fiancee Dee Horton, Lynn and Frank Sheppard all of Mt. Airy, NC, Penny Gravely Creed, Charlotte, NC, Dean Gravely, Chicago, IL, Chris and Stephanie Gravely, Rural Hall, NC, two sisters, Louise Payne, and Lucy Beck both of Mt. Airy, NC, a sister-in-law, Duna Mae Wilson, of Mt. Airy, NC., a step daughter-in-law Velma Gravely of Jacksonville, FL. and special friends Ruben and Betty Riggs and Jim Younger. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gravely was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie Gray Moncus and by two brothers J.C. Wilson and Wade Wilson and a step son J.C. Gravely. Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 16, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. at Northside Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Dean Eaton and Rev. Wesley Boyles with burial to follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 to time for the service at Northside Baptist Church and at other times at the home of the son Franklin Gravely 195 Pioneer Dr. Mt. Airy, NC. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Twelve Oaks for their special and loving care they gave to Ruby during the past four years.
