Ruby Dodson Lynn

Mrs. Ruby Dodson Lynn, age 92, of Elkin, NC passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home.  She was born in Surry County on October 21, 1929, to the late Rufus Doughton “Buck” Dodson and the late Mamie Mae White Dodson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lynn; sisters, Nannie Niemeic, Ronda Spicer, brothers, Avery Lee Dodson, Grady Dodson, Ervin Dodson.  She was a member of Zephyr Missionary Baptist Church, sang in the choir, and helped clean the church for over twenty years.  Loved working in flowers.  Surviving are her sisters, Dorothy Royall, Veronia Luffman, Sally Dodson, Sethia Dodson and several nieces and nephews.  The family will be having a church conducted memorial service at a later date.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Lynn family.
