Ruby Lee Hunt Marion

Mrs. Ruby Lee Hunt Marion, 69, of 1084 Grassy Knob Road, Pilot Mountain, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born May 3, 1940, in Surry County, to the late Hoy Raymond and Nannie Turpin Hunt. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. Surviving are her husband, Gilmer G. "Gib" Marion of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Lora and Tim Branch of Pinnacle; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ted and Mary Lou Marion of Lowgap and Tim and Pam Marion of Siloam; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Lela Mae Hunt Collins of Westfield; and a brother and sister-in-law, Conard and Betty Hunt of Pinnacle. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marion was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Hunt and Leonard E. Hunt. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Cedar Hill Primitive Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Culler and the Rev. Randy Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.
