Ruby Ann Uldrick

Mrs. Ruby Ann Faw Uldrick, 82, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 2, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Mrs. Uldrick was born November 8, 1935, in Surry County, one of nine children born to the late William Euriah and Mittie Ann Jarrell Faw.  Ruby retired from Blue Ridge Burke Insurance Company and was a member of The Bridge Church in Cana, VA.  She is survived by her husband, James Alvin “Jim” Uldrick, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Cynthia Anne Penny of Mount Airy; a stepdaughter and her husband, Jennifer Kaye and Tony Cockerham of Yadkinville; a stepson, Timothy Paul Uldrick of Lewisville; three stepgrandchildren, Corey James Uldrick of East Bend and Ciera Faircloth and her husband, Chadwick, and Landreth Cockerham, all of Yadkinville; a sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and William Puckett of Mount Airy; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Dennis and Ann Faw of Mount Airy and Betty Jo Faw of Winston-Salem; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Uldrick was preceded in death by four sisters, Dora Lee Faw, Shelby Jean Faw, Elizabeth Faw, and Bertha “Louise” Vaughn; and two brothers, Herbert Faw and Paul Faw.  A service of worship and celebration of Ruby’s life will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 11:00 AM at The Bridge Church, 14350 Fancy Gap Highway, Cana, VA.  The service will be conducted by the Rev. Don Whichard, and a private interment will take place in the Midkiff Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be made to The Bridge Church, P.O. Box 331, Cana, VA  24317.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is respectfully serving the family.
