Rush Seemore Edwards

Mr. Rush Seemore Edwards, 80, of Cana, VA, went to his Heavenly Home Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Carroll County, VA, April 19, 1941, to the late Friel Edwards and Hester Belle Walters Edwards. Mr. Edwards was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a talented musician was gifted to play any instrument with strings attached. Mr. Edwards was a devoted member of Fancy Gap Pentecostal Church. He loved the Lord and enjoyed playing and singing in church. Mr. Edwards will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Glenda “Linda” Mae Horton Edwards; daughters, Lorraine Jones and husband Faron and Tonya Edwards; sons and daughter-in-law, James “Bunk” Edwards and wife Carol, Phillip Edwards and wife Nancy, John Edwards and wife Robin; grandchildren, Jacob, Josh, Latisha, Wesley, P.J., Nathaniel, Tiffany, Crystal, and Kayla; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gracie Jones and husband Marlie. In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Edwards; a grandson, Faron Matthew Jones; sisters, Margaret Crotts, Josie Crotts, Irene Cagle; brothers, Jim, Otis, Greely Edwards; and half-sisters, Bessie Tate, Belle Woods, Litha Hawks. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, at Fancy Gap Pentecostal Holiness Church, Saturday, October 30, 2021 with Rev. Joe Pyles and Rev. Albert Everidge officiating.
