Ruth Ann Fleming Belton

Mrs. Ruth Ann Fleming Belton, 78, of 119 Brook Street, Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born May 15, 1932, in Washington, DC, to the late Walter Stanley and Dorothy R. Warner Fleming. She retired from The Derby Restaurant and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are her husband, Cecil Belton of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth Ann Weaver and Danny of Odenton, MD, Linda "Sue" Scheuch and Ron of Delmar, MD, and Patricia Marie O'Tremba and Joseph of Crownsville, MD; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Lester Grayson Humphries, III, of New Carrollton, MD, and Gary Lee Humphries and Susan of Cana, VA; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a brother, Walter W. Fleming of New Carrollton, MD. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Belton was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kellie Humphries; and a sister, Norma Robeson. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Todd E. Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at Moody Funeral Home.
