Ruth Felts McCraw

Mrs. Ruth Felts McCraw, 82, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. McCraw was born February 18, 1926, in Carroll County, VA, to the late William Garfield "Doc" and Rossie Vaughn Felts. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a homemaker, and a member of Central United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Phil and Pat McCraw of Cana, VA, and Michael "Mike" and Phyllis McCraw of Mount Airy; and three grandchildren and a spouse, Stephen and Mikki McCraw and Jennifer McCraw, all of Cana, VA, and Kelly McCraw of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCraw was preceded in death by her husband, Reed Matthew McCraw; four sisters; and a brother. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by Dr. Wayne Hager, and burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Central Continuing Care and the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for the care that was given for Mrs. McCraw.
