Ruth Rebecca Marion Reeves

Mrs. Ruth Rebecca Marion Reeves, 87, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Reeves was born July 23, 1920, in Surry County, daughter of the late Charlie W. and Mattie Holyfield Marion. She was a housewife and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Opal Dowell Marion of Winston-Salem; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lillian and Thurman Horner of Brevard, Dorothy and W. Irving Key of Winston-Salem, and John and Betty Reeves of Annandale, VA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Codell Reeves; and a brother, Phillip Earl Marion, Sr. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Holly Springs Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Lanny Atkins, and burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at Holly Springs Baptist Church.
