Sadie Ann Hicks Bullin

Mrs. Sadie Ann Hicks Bullin, 89, of Stony Knoll Road, Dobson, NC, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her three daughters on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Sadie was born on February 3, 1932, in Yadkin County, NC, into a family of 10 siblings and to her parents, the late Sam and Rosa Norman Hicks. She graduated from Dobson High School and Surry Community College. She worked as a certified nursing assistant well into her 70’s. She was a faithful member of Double Creek Church of Christ for 72 years singing in the choir while her health allowed.

In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gaither Bullin; sons, Lonnie and David Bullin, and grandson, Daniel Bullin. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Ann (Bobby) Lyles of Mountain Park, Charleen (Kevin) Hayes of WS, and Melissa (Ray) Harris of Thurmond, and a special daughter-in-law, Kim Davis Taylor of Dobson; 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was always a loving Mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She also leaves behind some very special nieces and nephews that she loved dearly as well as a group of wonderful and supportive neighbors and Church family. Her home, heart and arms were always open to others. Sadie always greeted you with her warm smile and laughter that she attributed to her long life.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 3, from 6-8 pm at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, NC. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 4, at 11:00 am at Double Creek Church of Christ, Dobson, NC. Mrs. Bullin will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to funeral service.
