Sadie Burnell Robertson Hawks

Mrs. Sadie Burnell Robertson Hawks, 83, of 233 Fairview Avenue, Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at Britthaven Nursing Home in Thomasville. Mrs. Hawks was born January 26, 1924, in Surry County, daughter of the late W.M. "Matt" and Geneva Williams Robertson. She retired from Renfro Hosiery Mill. She is survived by her husband, Al Hawks, Sr. of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Al Hawks, Jr. and Rhonda Hawks of High Point; and three grandchildren, Stephanie Hale, Matthew Hawks. and Melissa Hawks. The funeral service will be held Friday, January 4, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Barry P. Osborne, and burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Friday from 12:30 until the time for the service.
