Samuel Joseph Attardo

Mr. Samuel Joseph Attardo, 52, of 247 Cameron Lane, Mount Airy, passed away Thursday morning, March 19, 2009, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born September 29, 1956, in Buffalo, NY, to Adeline Linski and the late Salvatore "Samuel" Attardo. He was a retired truck driver with Estes Express Line and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Denise Smith Attardo of the home; a daughter, Amber Renee Attardo of Mount Airy; and a son, Samuel Joseph Attardo, Jr.; his mother, Adeline Linski of Pittston, PA; and two sisters, Janet Ortiz of Scranton, PA, and Charlotte Hapersberger of Pittston, PA. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Dean Eaton officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at the funeral home.
